Here is a fourth series of pics we have taken in FS and which are showing that the FS2002 world is fine enough to render some famed locations, worlwide! Some more fine rendering from our pictures are just due to that we added some satisfiedware, FS2004-designed textures available on the Internet. They work fine for FS2002 too, albeit with some tweaking for some of those. Enjoy the tour!

The Strait of Gibraltar is separating Morocco from southern Spain. That doorway to Europe was once used by the Arab invaders who crossed into, to conquer the Wisigothic Spain by about 710 A.D. It's one of the Arabic leaders of the conquest, Tarik, who gave his name to the strait, from 'jabel al-Tarik', 'Gibraltar', the 'mountain of Tarik'!

Moscow is the capital-city of Russia. One of the most known landmark of Moscow is the famed Red Square, which stretches along the Kremlin. Under the communist USSR, the Red Square was the location of the main Soviet parades! To land at Moscow, just use Sheremetyevo Airport (UUEE)

Tumbuctu, Niger, in western Africa, is an old merchant city on the shores of the Niger River. The region harboured once major African empires which were trading gold and slaves with the Muslim kingdoms of North Africa, through the Sahara desert!

The North Cape, at the northernmost tip of Norway is Europe's northest cape. It's famed like a place where you can admire the midnight Sun, when, by summer, the never ending day light is extant beyond the Arctic Polar Circle!

The Oxus River, which is flowing in Central Asia, is a famed river in the Antiquity, when Alexander the Great, in the 4th century B.C., crossed there as he was conquering all the Middle East, down to India. Today, the Amu-Daria, the river is flowing into the Aral Sea!

The Panama Canal is a canal in Central America, which began to be digged up by the French engineer Ferdinand de Lesseps by the end of the 19th century was eventually completed by the USA between 1904 and 1914. With its large waterscales, the Panama Canal is linking the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean and dramatically shortening the maritime roads between both. One may land either entrance of the Canal, at Enrique Adolfo Jimenez (MPEJ), which is a lesser aiport, or Tocumen Intl (MPTO)

Paris is the famed capital city of France. Located on the river Seine, the city was the former capital city of the kings of France as it now harbours renowned fashion and luxury shops. To just drop in Paris, you have to land by the Roissy-Charles-De-Gaulle airport (LFPG), northeast of the city!

The Pascua Island, which is isolated in the eastern Pacific Ocean, South, is famed for its antique, giant stone statues, which were carved and transported, in still badly known conditions, by a people there which eventually disappeared, likely for cause of a ecological disaster. To land in the Pascua Island use the Mataveri Intl Airport (SCIP) (FS2002 unluckily doesn't show the statues anymore)

The island of Hawaii where current Honolulu is located, was the place, on December 7th 1941, on the treacherous attack of Japan against the U.S. Fleet of the Pacific, triggering the USA to be engaged into WWII. The anchorage today is home to a memorial, harbouring one of the wreck of one of the warships which were destroyed that day

[PICTURE MISSING] The Popocatepetl volcanoe, in Mexico, with its sister volcanoe the Iztaccíhuatl, is seen in the vicinity of Mexico City, the capital of Mexico! To visit Mexico City, just land at the Lic Benito Juarez Intl Airport (MMMX)

Mount Rushmore, in the Black Hills, South Dakota, in the USA, is the famed place of a giant carved figure of four American presidents. To get there and visit, first land by Rapid City Regl (KRAP), which is just aside the Ellsworth AFB!

An Oasis in the Sahara Desert

The Sahara desert is the largest tropical desert in the world. It's stretching, uninterrupted, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea and is a large barrier between from the southern mountain ranges of North Africa, down to the rain forest of Africa! A series of trade routes however managed to exist there, linking those areas as they were using the small oasis of the desert like their legs!

The Strait of Singapore is the major maritime route in the Far East, as it links the Indian Ocean and the routes to Japan or the Philippines. Singapore, which is, in Chinese the 'city of the Lions', was the warden of that strait, and under a British rule. Just land in Singapore, at the Changi Intl Airport (WSSS)

Southern Sweden is filled with fine landscapes full of corn fields and lakes, as the further North, the more lakes and forests! Götaland is the name of the region!
